  • Pleasantly Surprised, I strongly recommand this place!

Pricing was very fair and seems like people talk highly about this hotel so I gave this a try.
The atmosphere is very chic and modern but the main thing that stood out was their exceptional customer service.

  • “Stylish, comfortable, good location if you travel without a car”

Hotel Zero 1 in Montreal is in a good location, close to restaurants, shops and transportation. Located right at the entrance of the Chinese quarters. About 10 minutes’ walk to the main train station, Gare Centrale.

We had a lovely stay at Hotel Zero 1. Good location with Metro nearby and walking distance or short bus ride to Old Montreal and other attractions. 747 Airport bus leaves you across the street from the hotel, which is a plus. Staff was very nice and helpful. Not a fan of the dark paint and soho feel. But that's just me. Hotel was very clean. Bed was super comfy though. Overall a good deal!

Pricing was very fair and seems like people talk highly about this hotel so I gave this a try.
The atmosphere is very chic and modern but the main thing that stood out was their exceptional customer service. Special thanks to Rachel for all her help. My friend started feeling a little ill so I went to the reception to ask about any nearby pharmacy. Because it was still early, none of the nearby pharmacies were open but Rachel told me to wait while she went off to get me hot water, a tea bag, honey and an orange.
Location is excellent as it is within walking distance to almost all of the places I wanted to visit. We also walked to the pier for the countdown.
Overall I am very happy with my stay but one small tip for those who uses their valet service: call AHEAD of time (especially near check out time ~12pm) to arrange for your car to be ready for you. I waited 30+ mins for my car after checking out. I don't think they have a parking lot in the building so the staff needs time to get your car. That being said, I was well informed and I'm totally cool with it.

This is a nice hotel with plenty of space in the room and a cozy bed to sleep in. It's clean with modern decor. Staff are helpful if you need anything, but also leave you alone if you don't. Best thing about the hotel is the location. Near downtown, adjacent to Chinatown. Close enough to walk to many typical attractions, plus its fun to stroll through Chinatown. Convenience store on the same block and a really great Pho place a few minutes walk away. (Stayed here a couple of years ago and I, unfortunately, don't remember the name of the Pho restaurant.) Plus, this hotel is very close to the metro station, making it easy to get to anywhere. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

The hotel is clean and has a contemporary feel to it.
The staff is attentive and welcoming.

My significant other and I stayed at this hotel for three days back in April 2015 and we really had a wonderful experience.
The location is perfect for those who are looking to explore all of what Montreal has to offer, especially if you’re a first time traveler without a car. It’s literally a 5 minute walk to everything, from Old Montréal to the south, to the Quartier des Spectacles to the north and to the west, shopping. And, if you wanted to explore even more of the city, the Metro station was also a 5 minute walk north of the hotel.

The hotel itself was ultra-modern and sophisticated. My room was actually surprisingly large compared to what I’m accustomed to for that price, with a king size bed and a sitting area. The room also included a kitchenette which is a great money saver if you’re on a budget. The only problem we really had at one point or another was noise. At times you can definitely hear a conversation happening coming from either the halls or other person’s rooms. But this was more a result of having bad, party-hard neighbours. All being said, because this is a hotel geared towards 20-somethings, it isn’t the most family friendly in my opinion.
